Fuel Card Offer Terms and Conditions (v2 300822)

1. What is the Offer?

If you sign up as a Checkatrade Member between Thursday 4th August 2022 and 31st October 2022 and you meet the Eligibility Criteria set out below, you may be entitled to a free fuel card up to the value of £200 (the “Offer”). 

The Offer is subject to these Offer Terms and Conditions. 


2. What are the Eligibility Criteria?

To be eligible to receive the fuel card you must meet the following criteria at day 90 of your Membership:

  • Hold an active Membership with Checkatrade;
  • Be subscribed to one of Checkatrade’s Membership Tiers;
  • Have passed Checkatrade’s vetting process;
  • Hold an active Public Liability Insurance policy;
  • Have an active Direct Debit with Checkatrade;
  • Have paid at least 3 month's Membership Fees; and
  • Have a Checkatrade web profile that includes photographs and at least one review.

Together these are the “Eligibility Criteria”.


3. Who will provide the fuel card?

The fuel card will be provided by Fleetmaxx Solutions (“Fuel Card Provider”)

4. When will the fuel card be sent? 

If you meet the Eligibility Criteria at day 90 of your Membership, Checkatrade will email you within a reasonable period thereafter with a link to the Fuel Card Provider’s website, where you will be asked to register your details. You will need to provide your address and Member ID. Once completed the Fuel Card Provider will communicate with you and issue you with your fuel card and pin number. 


5. What will the value of the fuel card be?

The fuel card values are linked to our Membership Tiers as follows:

Pro Membership: £200; 
 Standard Membership: £125; 
 Lite Membership: £50; and 
 Approved Membership: £30. 

Should you be eligible, the value of the fuel card will be calculated based on which of Checkatrade’s Membership Tiers you subscribe to when you sign up. If you choose to downgrade your Membership Tier in the first 90 days, the value will be the new lower Membership Tier level. If you choose to upgrade your Membership Tier in the first 90 days of your Membership, the value will remain at the Membership Tier when you sign up.  


6. Will I contact the Fuel Card Provider directly?  

  • Once you have claimed your fuel card using the link provided, you will liaise directly with the Fuel Card Provider. 
  • The fuel card is subject to the terms and conditions of the Fuel Card Provider which can be found here www.fleetmaxxsolutions.co.uk/terms-conditions
  • The Fuel Card Provider reserves the right to refuse you an account if you are deemed to be outside of the Fuel Card Provider’s terms and conditions. Checkatrade shall not be liable for such refusal and no alternative shall be offered. 
  • The Fuel Card Provider has the right to close any account that has not used or topped up credit within a 6 month period from the date of the account opening. Any credit remaining on the account when the account is closed for this reason will be refunded to Checkatrade. Checkatrade shall not be liable to you for any loss of credit due to an account being closed.

 

7. Is there anything else I need to know?

  • This Offer is subject to your compliance with the Membership Agreement (www.checkatrade.com/membership-terms). If you fail to comply with the Membership Agreement prior to receipt of the fuel card, Checkatrade may withdraw your eligibility and you may not receive a fuel card. If you fail to comply with the Membership Agreement after receipt of the fuel card and your Membership is terminated, Checkatrade may (at its sole discretion and without prejudice to its other rights and remedies under the Membership Agreement) require you to reimburse the cost of the fuel card to Checkatrade. 
  • Where a word has a capital letter it will have the meaning defined in these Offer Terms and Conditions. Where the meaning it not defined in these Offer Terms and Conditions, the word will have the meaning as set out at www.checkatrade.com/definitions-and-interpretation.
  • Your application for a fuel card using the link provided is your acceptance of these Offer Terms and Conditions.
  • Checkatrade will not be responsible for any loss or theft or damage to your fuel card, nor will it be liable to replace or reimburse the value of a lost, stolen, damaged or faulty fuel card. 
  • This Offer may be changed or withdrawn by Checkatrade at any time. However, should you sign up prior to the date of change or withdrawal, Checkatrade will honour the Offer. 
  • The Offer is for one fuel card only per Checkatrade Membership.
  • The Offer is exclusive and is not available in additional to any other Checkatrade offers and promotions.
  • A waiver of any right or remedy under the Offer Terms and Conditions or by law shall not be deemed a waiver of any other or subsequent right or remedy.
  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: a) Checkatrade’s total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these Offer Terms and Conditions whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise shall in be limited to the value of the fuel card to which you are entitled or £200, whichever is lower; and b) Checkatrade shall not be liable to you for any loss of profits, sales or business, or any indirect or consequential losses.
