About
Now in its third year, the Checkatrade Awards shine a spotlight on those who go above and beyond every day, whether they are raising the bar for customer care and giving back to their communities, or inspiring future talent and driving meaningful change across the trades.
How It Works
Tell us about the trade you want to win before 18 June.
Our judges will review the entries and shortlisted finalists will be notified.
Regional Awards will take place in five regional locations during September and October 2026.
The grand finale will take place in November at a prestigious London venue. Regional winners will attend, and national winners will be announced – including Tradesperson of the Year.
The awards are split across two key groups.
-
Customer-Nominated Trade Awards
These recognise tradespeople who’ve made a real difference, while passing Checkatrade’s checks and maintaining strong reviews. Categories include Builder, Electrician, Roofer, Carpenter, Plasterer, Landscaper, Painter & Decorator, and Plumber of the Year.
-
Industry and Impact Awards
These celebrate those driving the sector forward. Categories include Rising Star, Community Hero, Sustainability Champion, Technology & AI Champion, Women in Trade Champion, and the overall Tradesperson of the Year Award.
